Worthy Brief - 2/27/2025
Friend, it's time to light the fire!
1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
There's an interesting story about the great English actor, Macready. A respected preacher once asked him, "I wish you would explain something to me."
"Well, what is it? I don't know that I can explain anything to a preacher."
The preacher was puzzled. "What is the reason for the difference between you and me? You are appearing before crowds night after night with fiction, and the crowds follow you wherever you go. I am preaching the essential and unchangeable truth, and I am not getting any crowd at all!"
Macready had a sharp reply: "This is quite simple. I can tell you the difference between us. I present my fiction as though it were truth; you present your truth as though it were fiction."
If you've been following Worthy News, you've noticed God's hand at work among teenagers and college students in America. It's intriguing because while these young people are skeptical of traditional religious and church norms, they are earnestly searching for a authentic and vibrant faith.
It's pretty easy to recognize when something is on fire—it sets everything around it ablaze. Just imagine how rapidly the truth about Yeshua (Jesus) could spread if we were truly passionate about living and sharing it! We who know God must be like a fire, igniting the world with His love!
Friend, let’s lay down our hesitations and fears before the Lord and ask Him to ignite our hearts with a passion for those who are still lost! For truly the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few! (Luke 10:2)
Your family in the Lord with much agape love,
George, Baht Rivka, Elianna and Obadiah
